Tell us about yourself, who are you?
— My name is Max, and I am the Business Area Manager at CONVENDUM. I have a background in project management, HR, and business development within both the private and public sectors. My goal is to make Office Management the largest and best product that CONVENDUM offers.
What has your CONVENDUM journey been like, and how long have you worked here?
— I started at CONVENDUM in the fall of 2019, so a little over 4 years now. I have really had the opportunity to grow with the company over the years and have been able to try out various roles. I began as an Account Manager, then during the pandemic, I transitioned to Operations, working with member services. After that, I held roles as Reconstruction Manager, Project Manager, Business Area Manager for CONVENDUM Living, HR Manager, European Expansion Manager, and now Business Area Manager for our new product, Office Management.
Why do you enjoy your job?
— Starting up and leading new areas within CONVENDUM has been incredibly fun and developmental. From launching CONVENDUM in Spain to now working with a completely new product, I constantly get to challenge myself, which I find really exciting. Moreover, having such wonderful colleagues and a world-class office makes the days even better.
What does a typical workday look like?
— A typical workday for me begins with a quick morning meeting, the daily huddle, with the management team. Then, there's the second morning meeting, which is a sales meeting with colleagues at the headquarters. The day continues with customer and supplier meetings and working on current projects. The best part of the day is visiting our Office Management clients for short spontaneous chats with my CONVENDUM colleagues who manage the clients' offices and meeting our clients' employees to get a sense of how everything is running.
CONVENDUM has taken the step to become an Office as a Service provider and expanded its service and product offerings for large companies, including Office Management. What is Office Management?
— Office Management means that we bring CONVENDUM's premium office services, which we offer at our coworking spaces, to other companies' offices. We become the sole provider for our clients concerning all aspects of office operations. This can involve staffing the front desk, providing services to employees, managing meeting rooms, serving breakfast, and handling IT and property services.
What does your role as Business Area Manager for Office Management entail?
— My role as Business Area Manager involves being responsible for and leading the Office Management business area. This means I work with Operations, Finance, Sales, Suppliers, Personnel, and onboarding new clients.
