Lisa initially joined CONVENDUM as a member with her own company, and today she is an Account Manager. Read more about Lisa's exciting and evolving journey at CONVENDUM.
How did you first get in touch with CONVENDUM?
— I first came into contact with CONVENDUM back in 2019 when I was looking for a representative office for my newly established company. I looked at several different options on the market, but the choice became easy after visiting CONVENDUM at Nybrogatan 17. Everything felt just right: the address, the tone, the design, the size of the unit, the service from the staff on site, and, not least, the other entrepreneurs who were there. Unfortunately, that idea didn’t work out for various reasons, but since I already had an established collaboration with CONVENDUM, it was an easy choice when the founder and CEO, Håkan Jeppsson, asked me to come over to them instead. Once inside the CONVENDUM family, I have tried various roles, which has been both exciting and developmentally enriching.
What synergies do you see at CONVENDUM?
— Oh, there are many! The synergies are endless, I would say. We are part of Sweden's largest business network, and my dream is to work exclusively with this. We have so many interesting, knowledgeable, and driven people and companies with us. I am truly passionate about bringing people together where I see potential for new collaborations or, why not, a new acquaintance with shared interests. Maybe it’s because of all my years abroad, but it’s wonderful when people and ideas click, leading to new and unexpected outcomes.
What does your role as an Account Manager involve?
— My colleagues and I are a bit like magicians in that we need to tailor different solutions for all the inquiries that come in. These can be big or small and span various industries, making my job incredibly exciting and varied from day to day. I feel fortunate to gain insight, understanding, and knowledge about all these different industries and companies on a daily basis. It’s incredibly enriching.
What does a typical workday look like?
— It usually starts at HQ with a debriefing, and then I follow up on new leads. I tend to make calls since it’s easier to establish contact and get a sense of what they’re looking for. The puzzle starts to come together and the needs are outlined. Then comes the best part – showing off our beautiful coworking spaces.
Lisa describes her work helping companies meet their future office needs in a cost-effective and sustainable way as fun, challenging, and meaningful.
What is it like to be part of CONVENDUM’s expansion journey?
— It’s fun, exciting, and challenging. We have ambitious goals, but we also see that we’re meeting a new need for what future offices should look like. We receive daily proof that flexibility is crucial for companies. Just like a lung, companies can breathe in sync with the market and easily scale their office space up or down with us. We offer a more sustainable way of working by sharing resources and companies only pay for what they actually use. It feels both modern and good for the heart.
What do you think CONVENDUM means as a meeting place for members and for people in general?
— Besides the obvious cost savings, you get colleagues across company boundaries, world-class service, a representative environment to attract the right type of business partners or recruitments to your own company, or perhaps you find a new acquaintance with shared interests. The need for flexibility emerged during the pandemic, but the importance of physical meetings became even clearer. There is something that happens in a physical meeting that Teams (for all its worth) cannot replace.
