Be your best: Claudia Galli Concha

Claudia Galli Concha is the founder and CEO of Galli Agency, a PR and marketing agency with a focus on digital communication. Claudia is one of Sweden’s top actresses and in addition to building her business, she is also starring in a new series on Viaplay this fall.

Who is Claudia Galli Concha?
My name is Claudia Galli Concha, born and raised in Stockholm. I live on Östermalm with my husband Manuel and our daughters, Celeste, who is 6 years old, and Chloe, who is 7 years old.

Why did you choose to start your own business?
I have worked as an actress since I was 14 years old, and since it’s usually a freelance profession with constantly changing employers, it was natural for me to start my own business early on. I started my first sole proprietorship when I was 21 years old, then a few years later, I realized that the form of a limited company suited me better. Since then, I have started and run several different businesses, most recently Galli Agency, which is a PR and marketing agency with a focus on digital communication.

What is your role?
I’m used to having many different titles, but in Galli Agency, which I’m currently working intensively to build, I am the founder and CEO. But in this startup phase, I’m a bit of all the roles, haha, which I also enjoy.

What is the most important thing you do?
Being a mother to my daughters, giving them security and unconditional love, is the most important task in my life.

What are you most proud of in your professional life?
I always explore what makes me curious, and I make sure to do things that I find fun. If it’s not fun, it’s not worth it. I’m proud that I stick to that.

What are your career plans for the future?
Many and diverse as usual. I’ll be sitting at CONVENDUM building my empire, Galli Agency. Finding fun and inspiring collaborations with clients who share our vision, we’re waiting for a response on a big pitch we sent out a while ago, and if we get that account, we have a lot of fun ahead of us. Otherwise, we’ll keep pitching and come up with something else fun. I’m playing one of the lead roles in a TV series that premieres on Viaplay this fall, and it will be exciting to see how it’s received!

Where do you draw energy from?
In everything… somehow. Spending time with my wonderful family, working, traveling, exercising, reading (I love to read!), music and movies. I need to do everything. I can’t just work or just be off, I have to constantly mix it up.”

Claudia compares her workplace at CONVENDUM Nybrogatan 17 to the sense of community that arises among colleagues during a film production. It’s a familiar feeling where everyone has their projects but shares a common goal of moving forward and upwards.

When did you become a member of CONVENDUM and why?
The office we were in was going to be renovated, so we rented a room in a skincare salon on Kommendörsgatan. I was initially looking for my own office, but I explored various possibilities. I had some preconceived notions about coworking spaces. I imagined long benches with divider screens and fluorescent lights in the ceiling, but after a morning at CONVENDUM, I was sold. I loved everything about the setup! So, we’ve been here since last December.

Why do you enjoy working at CONVENDUM?
I really enjoy the social aspect, coming into the office and starting my day by chatting with friendly people while having breakfast, it is the best way to start the day. I like the bubbling feeling that exists at CONVENDUM, that there’s always something going on. We’re all doing different things, but what we have in common is that we want to move forward and upwards. It inspires me!

Do you get any benefit from the network available?
I’m absolutely convinced that I will, I’ve only been at CONVENDUM since December, but I’ve definitely been eyeing up companies that Galli Agency should approach. CONVENDUM is perfect for networking with after-work events and the Meet and Greet concept.

In what way does CONVENDUM contribute to your workday and career journey?
Partly because it’s very nice to have such a beautiful and welcoming place to go to, but also the opportunity to rent nice conference rooms to have meetings with clients. It works great for Galli Agency. And the service with everything around like breakfast, coffee, and working printers, it allows me to focus on what I’m best at.

In what way does CONVENDUM contribute to the business community in Sweden?
I think that when smart and driven people is getting the opportunity to gather in one place. it can result in many good collaborations that might not have happened otherwise. And the accessibility, with so many offices all over the city, makes it easy to be effective wherever you are.

In what way does CONVENDUM contribute to creativity, inspiration, and entrepreneurship?
As they say, you become who you surround yourself with. It’s inspiring to walk into CONVENDUM and see how everyone is working on projects they’re passionate about. To constantly hear people around you talk about different things they’re working on at the moment, to hear a few celebrating a good deal in a conference room. Such things are fun! CONVENDUM is fun!
